Minerva King

I received the BA Degree in Sociology from Lincoln University in Jefferson City, MO. and the Master's Degree in Library Science from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. I received the Master's Degree plus 30 hours in English/Education from the Citadel in Charleston, SC. I am a national board certified teacher in the area of library media. Since 2000 I have been the librarian at St. John's High School where I sponsor the Septima P. Clark Literary Society (SPCLS). I use storytelling as an educational tool and strongly encourage reading and writing across the curriculum. As a professional storyteller and native Charlestonian, I often use this tool to teach local history.
