  • The Yvonne H. Oliver Scholarship: $500 scholarship. Must be a female, have a minimum GPA of 3.0. See Ms. Jenkins for an application. Deadline is February 13, 2017. 
  • The Wihhelmina Gray Foundation is offering several scholarships to qualifying senior students. Deadline to apply is February 20, 2017.
  • The Exchange Club of Charleston is offering two scholarships: The Youth of the Year Scholarship and the A.C.E. Scholarship. Students must be interested in attending a two or four year college. Deadline February 23, 2017. See Ms. Jenkins for an application.

     

    March Deadlines

     

  • The Bobby Chapman Junior Golf Foundation Scholarship Program is offering a $1,500 renewable scholarship to a graduating senior attending a four year college. Student must have a 3.0 minimum grade point average. Deadline is March 10, 2017. Please see Ms. Jenkins for an application.
  • All graduating seniors that are planning to attend a two or four year college in the Fall whose parents are a full time CCSD employee are strongly encourage to apply for The Mark Cobb Memorial/Ron McWhirt Scholarship. Deadline to apply is March 13. Please see Ms. Jenkins in guidance for an application.
  • Coastal Community Foundations is offering students an opportunity to earn two scholarships. One is the General Scholarship and the other is The Reverend Pinckney Scholars Scholarship. If you are applying for both, you will need to do a separate application for each. Application and all necessary documents must be submitted online at www.coastalcommunityfoundation.org. Students must be attending a two or four year college. Deadline is March 17, 2017.
  • Society of American Military Engineers is offering a scholarship to those students that desire an education and career in engineering, architecture, science, math, or a related field of study. Deadline is March 23, 2017. See Ms. Jenkins in guidance for an application.
  • SCCAWS Association is offering two scholarships in the amount of $1000 to a female student interested in pursuing a career in the medical field and the other is for a female student interested in pursuing a career in education. You must apply at www.sccaws.org. Deadline to apply is March 25, 2017.
  • Church of Our Savior is offering scholarships to students that are interested in attending a four year college in the Fall. See Ms. Jenkins in Guidance for an application. Deadline is March 31, 2017.
  • The Prestige St. John’s High Class of 2008 Reach for Millions Scholarship is offering a scholarship in the amount of $500 and two book stipends in the amount of $250. Must have a 3.5 GPA and in the top 10% of your graduating class. Applications are in guidance. March 31, 2017.
  • The Woman’s Club of Charleston is offering a $1,500 scholarship to a deserving young late that plans to enter a four year college in the Fall of 2017. Must have a 2.5 minimum grade point average. See Ms. Jenkins for an application. Deadline to apply is March 31, 2017. 

     

    April Deadlines

     

  • JOYE Law Firm, LLP is offering a scholarship in the amount of $2000 to students that have been accepted to a two or four year college. You must apply at www.joyelawfirm.com/scholarship.  Deadline to apply is April 1, 2017.
  • ExxonMobil Bernard Harris Math and Science Scholarships are offering several scholarships to graduating seniors in the amount of $5,000 each. Students you must apply at www.theharrisfoundation.org. Deadline to have all information submitted is April 10, 2017.

  • The American Legion 79th Annual High School Oratorical Scholarship Program, “A Constitutional Speech Contest”, is offering scholarships ranging from $500-$18,000. Apply at www.legion.org/documents/legion/pdf/oratoricalrules.pdf. Deadline is April 23, 2016.

     

    May Deadlines

     

  • The Peck Law Firm is offering a scholarship in the amount of $2,000 to students interested in attending a four year college or university. Students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0. Please apply at http://thepeckfirm.com/?s=2017+scholarship.    Deadline is May 31.
  • The James E. Clyburn Research & Scholarship Foundation is sponsoring the Rudolph Canzater Scholarship. Deadline to apply is May 15, 2017. See Ms. Jenkins for an application.
